Is there a dress code?

Yes. For safety reasons, there will be a minimum dress code of long pants and a shirt with at least a four-inch sleeve. You will also be required to wear closed-toe shoes. Steel-toe shoes or hiking boots are preferred, but at an absolute minimum campers must wear shoes that are closed to protect the feet. You will also be expected to adhere to the basic dress code requirements of a BE&K job site; therefore bare midriffs, oversize jewelry and other accessories or clothing that may present a safety risk are not allowed.

Is smoking permitted?

No, smoking is not permitted. Smoking will be grounds for dismissal from the camp program.

Should I bring bottled water or something to drink?

No. Dehydration is a serious risk on a job site, and you will be provided with a generous supply of drinking water. Please use it. During your orientation, your safety trainer will expand upon the risks of dehydration.

Should I bring lunch?

No. You will be supplied with breakfast and lunch.

Do you provide transportation to the camp?

No. You are responsible for your transportation to and from the day camp program.

What is the camp schedule?

Camp days begin promptly at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at 4:30 p.m.

What are the rules of conduct?

Rules of conduct for BE&K job sites and student High Schools will apply. Inappropriate language or any display of disrespect for fellow campers or instructors will be grounds for dismissal from the camp program. Violation of safety guidelines or instructions may also be grounds for dismissal.
